A well-established organisation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its shared-service Finance team. This role is central to ensuring strong financial control, high-quality reporting, and effective support to the wider business, while also coaching and developing junior finance staff.
The Role
You will manage core accounting activities including ledger maintenance, journal review, and balance sheet control, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures. The position takes ownership of key month-end processes such as sales and margin reporting, PPV analysis, and fixed asset accounting.
The role also supports audit and tax requirements, contributes to payroll activities when required, and delivers meaningful financial analysis to support decision-making. You will work closely with operational teams, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and provide day-to-day guidance and training to Assistant Accountants.
Essential Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (CCAB recognised)
Minimum 3 year's experience in a similar accounting role
Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills
Desirable
Experience in a complex or multinational environment
ERP system exposure (SAP S/4HANA advantageous)
Payroll knowledge

Salary & Benefits
- £45,000-50,000
Competitive salary (not disclosed externally)
