About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Administrator to join our Group Laboratory Team. In this key support role, you will work closely with the laboratory management team to ensure all administrative duties are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in line with operational needs. You will provide administrative support across both laboratories located at the Pennybridge site, assisting with the quality management system, consumable stock control, data trending, and communication of laboratory KPIs.
🕒 The shift pattern - 9am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)
💷Hourly rate - £12.21
Key Responsibilities
Manage stock control, including ordering consumables via email and online platforms.
Raise purchase order numbers and ensure all deliveries are goods-received (GR'd) in the relevant systems.
Maintain full stock traceability, including batch/lot numbers, expiry dates, product condition on receipt, and printing certificates of conformance.
Ensure supplier accreditation documentation is current; liaise with suppliers to obtain updated information when required.
Collate laboratory testing data and input information into appropriate systems.
Organise and file documentation from laboratory tests.
Carry out postal duties and general administrative support tasks.
Perform any additional duties required by the Laboratory Management Team.
Eligibility Criteria
Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and use your own initiative.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
