Our client is seeking a skilled Demand Planner to drive accurate forecasting, and ensure customer demand is met efficiently. This key role focuses on balancing supply and demand, optimising inventory, and supporting smooth factory operations. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Shannon, Co. Clare.

About the Role
As a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in managing production schedules, meeting customer demand, and optimising factory resources. Working closely with Production, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams, you will ensure materials, capacity, and labour are aligned to meet targets while minimising downtime and inefficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the factory SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process to drive production schedules and forecast accuracy.
- Ensure fulfilment of customer demand plans while maintaining high service levels.
- Optimise production capacity, balancing labour and materials to minimise downtime and changeovers.
- Monitor and resolve potential service or shortage issues proactively.
- Track and report on key performance metrics: finished goods availability, production to plan, capacity utilisation, and forecast accuracy.
- Support ongoing process improvements, including demand planning model development and real-time reporting.
- Oversee inventory supply planning, FG inventory pipeline management, and production scheduling cycles.
Requirements
- Previous experience in demand planning, within a fast-paced multi-national
- Strong understanding of SIOP/S&OP processes, forecasting methods, and capacity planning.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across different departments within the company.
Benefits
- Competitive salary: €50,000 - €55,000 (DOE)
- Permanent full-time role
- Standard working hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30-17:00, Friday 8:30-16:00
