Salary: £13.74 per hour (Enhanced rate for additional hours)
Hours: Full Time- Part Time
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our residential services team supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This role involves overseeing a small team of care assistants, ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care, and supporting service users to live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support care assistants in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Assist in developing and implementing personalised care plans and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding procedures, and best care practices.
Manage daily operations, including staff delegation and overseeing service users' wellbeing.
Act as the senior member of staff on duty in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Support service users with personal care, daily activities, and social inclusion.
Maintain accurate documentation in line with GDPR and regulatory requirements.
Assist in budget and resource management, ensuring efficient service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or relevant equivalent).
Minimum of two years' experience in a social care setting providing support and personal care.
Understanding of learning disabilities and associated needs.
Strong communication, leadership, and IT skills.
Desirable Criteria:
Professional qualification in Social Work, Nursing, or Allied Health Professions (must be registered or eligible for registration with NISCC, NMC, or HCPC).
Experience in a residential care setting.
Experience supervising or coaching staff.
Willingness to attain an RQF Health & Social Care qualification.
