Team Leader Days and nights.

Location: Bangor
Salary: £13.74 per hour (Enhanced rate for additional hours)
Hours: Full Time- Part Time
Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our residential services team supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This role involves overseeing a small team of care assistants, ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care, and supporting service users to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support care assistants in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

  • Assist in developing and implementing personalised care plans and risk assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding procedures, and best care practices.

  • Manage daily operations, including staff delegation and overseeing service users' wellbeing.

  • Act as the senior member of staff on duty in the absence of the Registered Manager.

  • Support service users with personal care, daily activities, and social inclusion.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with GDPR and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in budget and resource management, ensuring efficient service delivery.

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or relevant equivalent).

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a social care setting providing support and personal care.

  • Understanding of learning disabilities and associated needs.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and IT skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Professional qualification in Social Work, Nursing, or Allied Health Professions (must be registered or eligible for registration with NISCC, NMC, or HCPC).

  • Experience in a residential care setting.

  • Experience supervising or coaching staff.

  • Willingness to attain an RQF Health & Social Care qualification.
