Staffline are please to announce the recruitment for a Furniture store manager in a family-run Irish retailer with a nationwide presence and a comprehensive online shopping platform. As the largest independent furniture retailer in Ireland, we employ over 350 people and are committed to providing top-notch service and quality products.

About the Role

We are seeking a competent and enthusiastic Store Manager with a strong retail sales background to lead our dynamic team in Clonmel. This challenging and rewarding role involves supporting a team of salespeople in achieving and exceeding personal and company targets while ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will have a proven sales track record, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example with a strong drive for sales.
  • Continuously communicate with and motivate the team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the store when liaising with internal departments.
  • Coach the team to ensure they have up-to-date product knowledge and adhere to company policies and brand values.
  • Manage people-related activities in collaboration with HR and senior management.
  • Complete regular reports for senior management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and coaching skills
  • Proven ability as a people manager and team player
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn our in-house systems easily
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Furniture experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to use initiative and escalate issues to senior management when necessary
