THE ROLE!!!

You will be responsible for directing and coordinating the management of the nursing home, establish and maintain a standard of residential care and activities in accordance with the best national and international practices. Coordinate the management of all staff in establishing and maintaining the standard as set out by the company with the aid of support from other department such as Finance, HR, Quality and Administration.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and clinical supervision to enhance care standards.
  • Establishing a supportive and valued residential setting.
  • Proactively managing complaints at the local level.
  • Building respectful relationships with residents.
  • Promoting a person-centered care ethos.

Education and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Third Level Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered with An Bord Altranais with an active PIN.
  • Proven clinical competence and a passion for delivering outstanding care to older people.
  • 3 years of experience in a management capacity.
  • 3 years of experience in nursing older adults within the last 6 years.
  • 6 years of post-registration nursing experience.

Desired:

  • Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent.
  • Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven clinical competence and passionate about delivering outstanding care to

older people.

  • Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills.
  • Sound decision making ability and results driven
  • Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company.
