Operations Administrator - Energy Sector - €45k

Due to continued growth, our client operating in the Energy sector are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Operations Administrator to join their team. This is a key role within the organisation where the successful candidate will support in the preparation and analysis of information to support business processes and procedures.

This team co-ordinates and plans work or projects to high standard and within the timelines set out by the Grid Code, Trading and Settlement codes, SEMOpx rules, Capacity Market rules and RESS terms and conditions. You will act as a subject matter expert and be responsible for reviewing documents produced by more junior staff in line with agreed processes.

Key responsibilities of the team will include:

  • Pre Registration and Registration activities of participants from all markets (SEMO/SEMPpx/Capacity Market)
  • Stakeholder engagement, internal and external
  • SOMO/SEMPpx customer service
  • Management of formal queries
  • Management of disputes
  • Capacity Market qualification and auctions
  • Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS)
  • Offshore RESS qualification and auctions

Deadlines can be daily, weekly, monthly and as a result the Senior Administrators work together to ensure the appropriate support and back up is available within this fast paced environment.

Interested applicants will meet the following requirements:

  • Business, IT, Finance or similar third level qualification, typically with 3+ years relevant experience
  • Experience in co-ordinating and overseeing delivery of key tasks within a team
  • Demonstrable track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills
  • Effective communicator - expressing information and ideas to others in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing
  • Numeracy and analytical skills
  • A natural attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in presenting to large groups
