Mechanical Design Engineer - Entry Level / 1-2yrs exp. Opportunity

Responsibilities Include:
- Preparation of specs, drawings and technical details for customers.
- Direction and co-ordination of prototypes manufacture.
- Liaison with R&D to improve efficiency's
- Optimising design to the customer specification.
- Preparation of instructions and drawings for use on the factory floor.
- Preparation, control and updating technical specifications
- Working with production to ensure design specifications are achieved
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Working with design packages, CREO, etc
- Preferable experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing best practice
- Experience with internal standards and quality conformance metrics
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Requirement to both work on-site and to travel for business.
- Previous SAP experience preferable.
- Full clean driving license preferable.
Who You Are:
- A degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or similar), ideally with some exposure to design work (internships, co-ops, or 1-2 years' experience).
- Passionate about engineering and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- A proactive communicator who enjoys problem-solving and working as part of a team.
- Analytical and detail orientated
- Competent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
- Strong work ethic and self-starter
- Good Time Management and Decision-Making Skills
