We are delighted to be recruiting for a local Public Sector organisation who have a vacancy for an IT Support Administrator based in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh.

The Role:

As the IT Support Administrator your role will involve:

  • Provide technical support to IT Project Manager / Senior Managers as required
  • Day to day management of a helpdesk
  • Trouble shoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties
  • Preparation of progress reports and briefing materials for senior staff as required
  • Identify and utilise appropriate software to support project management processes, e.g., MS Project and MS Office professional
  • Undertake ongoing planning, monitoring, and budgeting of project(s) progress
  • Support process of Change Management - ensure that standard project documentation is established, updated, and stored, e.g., reporting documentation, issues, and risk logs
  • Maintain administrative records of projects within IT unit
  • Organise and prioritise own work and administrative work within IT unit
  • Ordering of required hardware, software, and contractor services

Experience necessary:

As the IT Support Administrator, you will possess the following:

  • A minimum of 2 GCE A Levels A-C + 5 GCSE's including English and Mathematics (grades A-C), and have at least three years relevant technical experience in a specific IT support role

OR

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's including English and Mathematics (grades A-C), and have at least five recent years relevant technical experience in a specific IT support, and evidence of relevant IT technical support related courses (e.g., ITIL MCP)

  • Proficient in use of the suite of Microsoft Office applications
  • Current valid driver's licence and access to transport
  • Experience of providing ICT support and troubleshooting in a complex ICT work environment
  • Experience building, deploying and patching computers
  • Practical experience of working with and on a range of systems (OS & APPs)
  • Preparation of well-structured written material which summarises and identifies key points
  • Experience of handling correspondence and keeping records

Hours of work:

  • Mon - Fri 9am - 5.30pm
  • 2 days on site and 3 days home working
