HR Advisor

We are recruiting for a HR Advisor to join the fast paced team of one of our clients based in Antrim who which currently consists of a HR Manager and a HR Officer. The client is the UK and Ireland's market leader in MDF Mouldings and a highly successful family run business. You will join a team that values your expertise and encourages a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.

Reporting to the HR Manager you will build and maintain strong relationships with managers and key stakeholders to provide support to ensure the effective and seamless delivery of end to end HR processes and positively influence people management across the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders across the business to create a collaborative approach to people related initiatives.
    Confidently provide both practical and credible advice and guidance and challenge management, supervisors and team members on HR best practices in order to positively influence people management across the business
  • Independently and confidently manage employee relations matters, including sensitive and complex cases
  • Conduct investigations into workplaces and recommend appropriate resolutions
  • Stay up to date with employment law, regulations and case law, ensuring company policies and procedures comply and assist the HR Manager on recommending updates to polices as needed.
  • Create and deliver training materials for relevant stakeholders on how to effectively follow HR policies and procedures
  • Support managers in the implementation of performance management processes.
  • Advise on performance improvement plans and facilitate performance review discussions
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, application screening and participating in interviews
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth on boarding process for new employees
  • Assist HR Officer with administrative activities where necessary
  • Assist in HR related ad- hoc projects
  • Act as an ambassador of SAM company values
  • All other duties as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Human Resources or Business- related undergraduate degree or CIPD qualification (Level 5 Minimum)
  • 1-2 year's experience in a HR Officer, Advisor or similar role
  • Proven experience confidentially advising managers and other stakeholders on complex employment relation matters
  • Thorough understanding of employment legislation
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of GB and ROI employment law jurisdictions
  • Experience in training and Learning & Development
  • Level 7 CIPD Qualification
  • Train the trainer qualification

Hours of Work:

  • 40 hours per week exclusive of breaks
