Job Title: HGV Mechanic/Tester

Location: Limerick

Are you a skilled HGV Mechanic with a passion for precision and a commitment to safety? We are seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic/Tester to join our clients dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that testing operations run smoothly and effectively, delivering maximum value to our organisation and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Testing: Conduct PSV, HGV, RSA CVRT, and LGV vehicle tests on both customer and company vehicles.
• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform diagnostics, identify faults, and carry out both planned and corrective maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
• Inspection & Testing: Perform inspections and test mechanical units, ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards.
• Tool Utilization: Use a variety of power and hand tools related to motor vehicle service and repair.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Supplier Liaison: Work with parts suppliers to secure any required components for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed repair and service records for each vehicle.
• Health & Safety: Comply with all health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification: Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic).
• Technical Expertise: High degree of product and technical knowledge.
• Initiative: Ability to work independently and take the initiative when required.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork: A team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team and company goals.
• Professionalism: Demonstrate good work practices, including punctuality, tidiness, responsibility, and a strong awareness of quality and safety.
