Job Title: Forklift Operator


Job Description:
Staffline currently have a vacancy for a forklift driver with our client based in Ringaskiddy. The primary responsibility will be to handle the day-to-day operations within a busy warehouse environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth flow of product, ensuring accurate inventory management, and supporting overall yard efficiency. Your duties will involve various physical tasks, such as loading the goods and bagging.


Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Dispatching: Receive incoming product, unloading, and inspect items for damage or discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by organising product appropriately. conduct regular checks, identify discrepancies, and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Material Handling: Operate forklifts, load and unload trucks, stack and organise products, and maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and warehouse protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Identify and report potential hazards or incidents promptly. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of operations. Support cross-functional tasks and assist colleagues when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Counterbalance Forklift License is mandatory for this role
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is essential.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
