Several opportunities have arisen for Fabricator Welders, Fabricators & Welders, to join an industry leader in UK's Building Services sector, delivering a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
Job Summary
Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes, then Join and fabricate a range of pipe configurations by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices.
The ability to produce welds in TIG, MMA or MAG to a high standard will be required, so if you possess any of these skills then get in touch for more information.

Our client can offer you either of the following 2 shifts across 3 locations in Banbridge & Gilford:
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm and Fri 7am - 4pm
Hours: Mon-Thurs 16:45pm - 03:45am
Salary:Competitive depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • To operate MIG/TIG or MMA welding equipment
  • To read/interpret drawings.
  • Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
  • Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
  • Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management.
Essential Criteria:
  • Previous experience in Fabrication and welding with general and pipe welding
  • Previous experience in welding preparation and fit up
  • Previous experience in MMA, MAG or TIG welding processes to high standards
  • Minimum of 3 years' operating as an established experienced fabricator, that includes Pipe Fabrication.
  • Experience in reading, interpreting, and working to Welding procedures
  • Competent using measurement instruments, Fillet gauges etc
Desired Criteria:
  • Heavy or structural Fabrication experience
  • Welding qualifications in MMA, MAG or TIG
  • Abrasive wheel training
  • Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
