Job Title: Cleanroom Manager

Location: Limerick

Job Summary:

The Cleanroom Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of cleanroom environments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team, implementing protocols, and ensuring that all processes within the cleanroom meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanroom Operations Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the cleanroom facilities.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleanroom activities.
    • Monitor cleanroom parameters (e.g., air quality, temperature, humidity) to ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure efficient workflow within the cleanroom.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Ensure all cleanroom operations comply with industry standards such as ISO 14644, GMP, and other relevant regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the cleanroom environment.
    • Develop and manage a cleaning and maintenance schedule.
    • Implement corrective actions to address non-compliance issues.
  • Team Management:

    • Supervise, train, and mentor cleanroom staff.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
    • Schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
    • Promote a culture of safety and quality within the team.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of cleanroom operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.
    • Prepare and present reports on cleanroom performance to senior management.
    • Ensure proper documentation of all SOPs, training records, and audit findings.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement in cleanroom operations and implement best practices.
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in cleanroom technology and regulations.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.


  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cleanroom management or a related field desirable.
    • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, electronics, or medical device industries preferred.
    • Proven track record of managing teams and projects.
  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of cleanroom standards (e.g., ISO 90001, 14001).
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in using cleanroom monitoring and management software.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, which may require wearing protective clothing and equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily works within cleanroom facilities with controlled environmental conditions.
  • May occasionally require travel to other company facilities or vendor locations.
