Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Staff - County Galway Ireland

My Client, a 4.5 star rating restaurant in Galway seeks to hire a new Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen staff

This role will suit someone with experience working in a hands on environment with advanced cooking techniques

This is a permanent on site role based 30 minutes outside Galway city

Salary - €14/16 Per hour depending on experience

Hours - 39 hours/ Mon to Sun

Responsibilities

  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment,
  • Working as a team to prepare the food in time for serving customers
  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
  • Cook food in a timely manner throughout the shift
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
  • Inform staff about daily special and status of food cooking
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
  • Assisting the Head Chef with menu preparation daily
  • Producing high quality food on dishes for customers
  • Maintaining a positive professional approach with coworkers

Requirements

  • 1/2 Years Experience working as a chef/ sous chef
  • Excellent Time management abilities
  • Ability to keep calm in high and fast passed working environment
  • Familiar with sanitation guidelines
  • Leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of new culinary techniques
