Fitness Instructor

We are currently looking for Fitness Instructor's based in Roe Valley Leisure Centre, Limavady on a casual basis.

Main Purpose of Post

• Provide instruction and supervision of the gym/fitness suite and provide effective, efficient high quality fitness programmes tailored to users of the facility.

• Positively support management and colleagues and assist in the provision of customer focused service delivery.

• In order to respond to service priorities and to facilitate professional development, be flexible to provide cover in any related duty within Sport & Wellbeing (for which training has been or will be provided) and be required to work flexibly across the Council area.

• Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.

• Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must, at the closing date for receipt of applications, possess:

• A valid Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification.
• A minimum of one group based Exercise Instruction qualification.

And

Demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of one year's experience working as a Fitness Instructor within a leisure/fitness facility
