A disability support service in Kilcullen is seeking an experienced Person in Charge to lead a residential and day service for adults with intellectual disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader committed to high-quality, person-centred care.

Salary & Benefits

• €54,422 - €60,922 per annum (based on a 40-hour week)

• Plus on-call allowance: €3,904 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across residential, day, and supported living services.

• Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding policies, and HSE requirements.

• Manage and support staff teams, including supervision, development, and rosters.

• Oversee assessments, person-centred planning, risk management, and service quality.

• Maintain accurate documentation, audits, and regulatory reporting.

• Build positive relationships with families, advocates, regulators, and external partners.

• Contribute to budgeting, financial oversight, and continuous improvement.

What You Need

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline.

• Management or postgraduate social care qualification (desirable).

• 3+ years' leadership or supervisory experience in disability/health/social care.

• 5+ years' overall sector experience.

• Excellent knowledge of HIQA standards, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.

• Strong communication, organisational, and leadership abilities.

• IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint).

• Flexibility for on-call duties and some evening/weekend work.

• Garda Vetting and relevant background checks.

Desirable

• Experience within Section 38/39 or not-for-profit services.

• Experience with New Directions or community-based support models.
